If the thought of setting goals makes you break out in a cold sweat, I’ve got a trick for you.
Picture this: your big, audacious goal is right in front of you, and you’re itching to make it happen. But why settle for just one shot at success when you can have THREE? That’s right, I’m talking about breaking your goals into three opportunities that’ll have you feeling like a goal-crushing goddess!
How do I take one goal and turn it into three success opportunities? Here’s how (and I’ll use the goal ‘increase my daily step count over the next month’ as an example):
⭐️ The easy-peasy, definitely-going-to-happen goal: Let’s kick things off with a bang! Set a goal so achievable, you can knock it out of the park with little effort. It’s the bare minimum you need to feel like a goal-getter. (E.g., increase my steps by 25% — the bare minimum I need to feel successful.)
⭐️ The stretch goal: Now, let’s crank up the heat a notch! This is where things get exciting. Set a goal that’s within reach but requires a little more effort. (E.g., increase my steps by 50% — okay, this feels like a bit of stretch, but doable.)
⭐️ Whoa! I can’t believe it goal: Brace yourself, because you’re about to blow your own mind. This is the dream goal. The one that makes your jaw drop and your heart race. It’s beyond your wildest imagination, the stuff of legends. This is the goal you set when you aim high, aim wild, and tell the voice that says, “that’ll never happen” to STHU. (E.g., double my daily steps this month — whew, that would be AMAZING!)
By breaking your goals into these three specific categories, you’re not just setting yourself up for success—you’re giving yourself THREE chances to crush it! Plus, you’ll be feeding your brain the juicy data it craves, reaffirming just how unstoppable you truly are.
Here’s to success, adventure, and more ‘Whoa! I can’t believe I did it’ moments.
